Washington, DC (TDP) – Autism Speaks, the national non-profit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive world for individuals with autism and their families, formally released a statement today asking billionaire businessman Elon Musk to please stop speaking. “While we support and encourage those on the autism spectrum at all times without exception we would, in this one specific case, like to make an exception,” the statement read. “We politely ask Mr. Musk, who has overcome his self-diagnosed Asperger’s Syndrome to run such transformative organizations as Tesla, SpaceX, and DOGE, to please shut the fuck up.”
“We politely ask Mr. Musk, who has overcome his self-diagnosed Asperger’s Syndrome to run such transformative organizations as Tesla, SpaceX, and DOGE, to please shut the fuck up.”
Autism Speaks CEO Keith Wargo followed up on the statement saying, “On behalf of the over 5 million adults in the U.S. who have been identified with autism spectrum disorder, you are embarrassing us. We have worked for decades to raise awareness and acceptance, and you’re singlehandedly giving autism a bad name.”
Reached for comment, Musk was quick to point out his own advocacy for the mentally challenged, boasting that the use of the term ‘retard’ has quadrupled on X (the social platform formally known as Twitter) since his initial use of the word there in December 2024. “I have proudly bestowed that term upon such notable individuals as Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, actor Ben Stiller, and the entire American workforce. If that’s not showing support and encouragement, then I’m not an immigrant from South Africa.”
The entire American workforce was unavailable for comment.
