The family of the late Michael Jackson expressed outrage this week over the casting of a white British actor in the role of the black American pop star in the British television production ‘Urban Myths’. Jackson’s daughter, Paris, commented “I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well.”
A spokesman for the Jackson family added, “Are there no black actors in this country that could convincingly play the role of a drug-addicted, child-molesting pop music superstar? I know for a fact that Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon are all looking for work.”
The families of Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando were not available to comment on the casting of Queen Latifah and Cedric the Entertainer in the production’s other major roles.
